Numerical Simulation of Three‐Dimensional Unsteady Extrudate Swell Through Annular Dies: Effects of Die Core Opening Position and Sag on Parison Formation

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Study on transient parison formation at various strokes during extrusion of Newtonian and viscoelastic fluids. In the presence of an offset between the mandrel and the bushing, Newtonian fluids exhibit a reduction in extrudate diameter, whereas viscoelastic fluids display diameter swelling only at flow rates exceeding a critical threshold.

Exploration of the Predictive Validity of Middle School Math Screeners

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Universal screening is a key element of multi‐tiered systems of support. Relative to literacy, fewer studies have investigated the psychometric properties of math assessments particularly amongst middle school students. We investigated whether outcomes from two types of curriculum‐based measures (CBMs), computational fluency (M‐COMP) and ...

A Comparison of the Validity of Growth Estimates From Early Math Curriculum Based Measures and a Computer Adaptive Test

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study compared the extent to which growth on two types of early math assessments (curriculum‐based measures [CBMs] and computer adaptive tests) predicted end of year performance in broad math skills as well as improvement in broad math skills in Kindergarten (n = 211) and Grade 1 (n = 79) students.

Recursive Relations for the S‐matrix of Liouville Theory

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, EarlyView.
Abstract The relation between the vertex operators of the in and out fields in Liouville theory is analyzed. This is used to derive equations for the S‐matrix, from which a recursive relation for the normal symbol of the S‐matrix for discrete center‐of‐mass momenta is obtained.
