A high-accuracy differential-capacitance-to-time converter for capacitive sensors

2015 IEEE 58th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2015
A high-accuracy switched-capacitor (SC) differential-capacitance-to-time converter (DCTC) for capacitive sensors is presented for high-accuracy ratiometric operation. This circuit does not require component matching. Performances of the proposed circuit are simulated by HSPICE using 0.18 µm CMOS process parameters.

Differential Capacitance Analysis

2009
This paper proposes a new kind of side-channel attack where the correlation between processed data and total capacitance seen looking into the power supply pin of a cryptographic device is exploited. The attack is introduced and advantages and drawbacks with respect to the well-known power analysis are discussed.

Digital Converter for Differential Capacitive Sensors

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2008
A digital converter that directly translates variations in the capacitances of a differential-type capacitive sensor to a proportional digital value is described in this paper. A conventional dual-slope, analog-to-digital converter is suitably modified to obtain direct capacitance-to-digital conversion (CDC).

The nanofluidic capacitor: Differential capacitance in the absence of reservoirs

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2023
Within the framework of the classical, mean-field Poisson–Boltzmann (PB) theory, we carry out direct numerical simulations to determine the differential capacitance of a closed nanochannel of a circular cross section, embedded in a polymeric host with charged walls and sealed at both ends by metal electrodes under an external potential bias.

Analysis of differential proteins between non-capacitated and capacitated boar sperm and verification of the effect of phosphofructokinase on capacitation

Theriogenology, 2023
The objective of this study was to analyze the differences in the proteins in non-capacitated and capacitated boar sperm and to identify the functions of the differential proteins and key capacitation proteins of boar sperm before and after capacitation.

Differential capacitance of a semiconductor film

Semiconductors, 2010
A fast scheme for calculating the surface differential capacitance of a semiconductor film with an ohmic contact on the back side is proposed within the phenomenological theory of the space-charge region. The calculation method is considered by the example of a semiconductor with a parabolic dispersion relation (n-Ge).

The differential capacitance of the interelectrode gap

Soviet Physics Journal, 1982
An equation is obtained relating the capacitance of the interelectrode gap and the energy of the surface and space charges. It is shown that the calculated values of the capacitance are close to the experimental values, whereas equations previously employed give values that are too high on changing from one current mode of operation to another.

Differential capacitance of polycrystalline zinc

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1973
Summary Differential capacity measurements have been made using a polished polycrystalline zinc electrode in aqueous solutions of NaClO 4 and NH 4 ClO 4 at various pH's. In solutions of NaClO 4 at pH values >3.4 strong OH − ion interaction with the electrode is confirmed.

A differential capacitance manometer

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1953
The manometer has been developed for use in a blood flowmeter, to record pressures within the range 0.03-15 mm of mercury developed by a miniature Pitot head; it has a high modulus of volume elasticity to ensure an adequate frequency response. The pressure difference to be measured is applied across a metal diaphragm, the centre of which is linked to a
