Computational Sensitivity Analysis on a Mathematical Model of Epileptic Seizures

open access: yesBiomath, 2015
Temporal lobe epilepsy is a serious neurological disorder characterized by complex partial seizures, which are thought to originate in the hippocampus.В  Ordinary differential equation modeling has been used to describe changes in membrane potential of ...

High Resolution Differential Capacitance Detection Scheme for Micro Levitated Rotor Gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A differential capacitance detection circuit aiming at detection of rotating angle in a novel levitation structure is presented. To ensure the low non-linearity and high resolution, noise analysis and non-linearity simulation are conducted.

Absolute Position Sensing Based on a Robust Differential Capacitive Sensor with a Grounded Shield Window

open access: yesSensors, 2016
A simple differential capacitive sensor is provided in this paper to measure the absolute positions of length measuring systems. By utilizing a shield window inside the differential capacitor, the measurement range and linearity range of the sensor can ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Mechanism and Effect of Charges Accumulation on Differential Capacitance Detector Diodes in MEMS Accelerometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Detector diodes have been successfully used in differential capacitive MEMS accelerometer for capacitance-to-voltage conversion. During capacitances’ charging and discharging, charge accumulation makes test results disagree with the calculated values ...

Measurement of Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Micro-Pipes by a Capacitance Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2014
A capacitance measurement system is developed for the measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow in glass micro-pipes with inner diameters of 3.96, 2.65 and 1.56 mm, respectively. As a typical flow regime in a micro-pipe two-phase flow system, slug flow is

Single Supply Differential Capacitive Sensor with Parasitic Capacitance and Resistance Consideration [PDF]

open access: yes2018 7th International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering (ICCCE), 2018
A single supply differential capacitive sensing technique is presented in this paper with the focus of parasitic integration. In real application, any capacitive sensor should consider parasitic in its measurement. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of capacitive and resistive parasitic to the network circuit.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Research on Capacitance Current Compensation Scheme of Current Differential Protection of Complex Four-Circuit Transmission Lines on the Same Tower

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
Current differential protection is the main protection of transmission lines which include multi-circuit lines on the same tower, and whose sensitivity and reliability of differential protection is mainly affected by the distributed capacitive current ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified
