Electrical Capacitance Tomography With Differential Sensor
In electrical capacitance tomography, capacitance changes are used to determine the permittivity distribution in the imaging area. However, the changes are small compared to the standing capacitances, e.g. usually in the order of 10~30%. For a single channel capacitance sensor, a differential configuration having a redundant pair of electrodes can be ...

Finite element analysis of differential capacitive PUF sensors [PDF]
The sensors that offer unique characteristics, which cannot be duplicated fall into the category of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) sensors. A PUF sensor for measuring mechanical parameters is reported in [1]. The reported PUF sensor uses a capacitive electrode structure (dual electrode configuration) to transform the movement of a membrane filled ...

Parasitic consideration for differential capacitive sensor
Parasitic integration for a single supply differential capacitive sensing technique is presented in this paper. In real capacitive sensor measurement, parasitic impedance exists in its measurement. This paper objective is to study the effect of capacitive and resistive parasitic to the capacitive sensor circuit.

A low-power, high-accuracy capacitance-to-time converter for differential capacitive sensors [PDF]
A low-power and high-accuracy switched-capacitor (SC) capacitance-to-time (C/T) converter used as an interface for differential capacitive sensors is presented. The propagation delays of the comparator do not directly have effect on the accuracy, but the difference between rising propagation delays of the comparator for two reference voltages does ...

A capacitive differential pressure sensor with polyimide diaphragm [PDF]
A capacitive differential pressure sensor has been developed. The process used for the fabrication of the sensor is IC-compatible, meaning that the device can potentially be monolithically integrated on one chip with a suitable signal conditioning circuit.

A sensitive differential capacitance to voltage converter for sensor applications
There is a need for capacitance to voltage converters (CVC's) for differential capacitive sensors like pressure sensors and accelerometers which can measure both statically and dynamically. A suitable CVC is described in this paper. The CVC proposed is based on a symmetrical structure containing two half ac bridges, is intrinsically immune to parasitic

Single Supply Differential Capacitive Sensor with Parasitic Capacitance and Resistance Consideration [PDF]
A single supply differential capacitive sensing technique is presented in this paper with the focus of parasitic integration. In real application, any capacitive sensor should consider parasitic in its measurement. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of capacitive and resistive parasitic to the network circuit.

A micropower front-end interface for differential-capacitive sensor systems
A front-end circuit for interfacing to differential capacitive sensors, including certain microelectromechanical systems, is presented. The system combines a self-resetting, biphasic integrator with a difference timer, producing a word parallel output representing the differential capacitance.
