Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions for a Class of Nonlinear Stochastic Differential Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
By using successive approximation, we prove existence and uniqueness result for a class of nonlinear stochastic differential equations. Moreover, it is shown that the solution of such equations is a diffusion process and its diffusion coefficients are ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Effect of Variation of the Non-Ideality Coefficient on the Electrical Properties of the P-N-Junction in a Strong Microwave Field [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering
In this work, the effect of variation of the non-ideality coefficient of the p-n-junction volt-ampere (I-V) characteristic located in the strong microwave field on the differential resistance, diffusion capacitance and differential conductance is studied.

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

A symbiotic self-cross diffusion model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this work, we show existence and non-existence results of coexistence states for a Lotka-Volterra symbiotic model with self and cross-diffusion in one species. We study the behavior of the set of positive solutions when the cross-diffusion or the self-
