Dynamic modeling of three-phase upflow fixed-bed reactor including pore diffusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The dynamics of a three-phase upflow fixed-bed reactor are investigated using a non-isothermal heterogeneous model including gas–liquid and liquid–solid mass transfer and diffusion/reaction phenomena inside the catalyst.

Differential Diffusion Effects in Numerical Simulations on Smoke Toxicity Evaluation

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
With the increasing frequency of fire caused by construction materials, smoke toxicity evaluation plays a key role in related fields. Numerical simulation has become a popular method to predict the toxicity of smoke. A computational study of differential

Model for forest ecosystems based on quantum optimization [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
This paper presents a mathematical model developed to describe the dynamics of forest ecosystems. The model is based on the principles of cross-diffusion, consider the interaction between two plant species in a forest environment.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Parameter estimation of a bivariate diffusion process : the Heston model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 27-29).The main objective of the research is to estimate the parameters on the Heston (1993) model, which models the movement of asset prices assuming that the asset price volatility is ...

Exponential input‐to‐state stability of delay reaction‐diffusion systems

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2021
This brief paper considers the exponential input‐to‐state stability (EISS) for delay reaction‐diffusion systems (DRDSs). The distributed input and boundary input are both included in the considered model. Boundary input is an important characteristic for

Dynamical behaviour of an intraguild predator–prey model with prey refuge and hunting cooperation

open access: yesJournal of Biological Dynamics, 2023
An intraguild predator–prey model including prey refuge and hunting cooperation is investigated in this paper. First, for the corresponding ordinary differential equation model, the existence and stability of all equilibria are given, and the existence ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
