Baseline Regional Cholinergic Denervation Predicts Cognitive Trajectories in Moderate Parkinson Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...

Existence and uniqueness of solutions for a class of nonlinear integro-differential equations on unbounded domains in Banach spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a class of nonlinear integro-differential equations on unbounded domains in Banach spaces are established under more general conditions by constructing a special Banach space and using cone ...

Ito's formula in UMD Banach spaces and regularity of solutions of the Zakai equation

open access: yes, 2008
Using the theory of stochastic integration for processes with values in a UMD Banach space developed recently by the authors, an Ito formula is proved which is applied to prove the existence of strong solutions for a class of stochastic evolution ...

Abstract Cauchy problems for second order linear differential equations in a Banach space

open access: yesHiroshima Mathematical Journal, 1987
Let A be a closed linear operator in a Banach space X and let Y be a linear manifold of X. Assume that (a) Y is a normed space under a certain norm \(\|| \cdot \||\) which is stronger than the original norm \(\| \cdot \|\) of X; (b) there is \(\omega \geq 0\) such that for each \(\lambda >\omega\), the range \(R(\lambda^ 2-A)\) contains Y, \(R(\lambda^

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Generalized contraction principle under relatively weaker contraction in partial metric spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
In this paper, we introduce the concept of a generalized weak (ϕ,R) $(\phi,\mathcal{R})$-contraction and employ this to prove some fixed point results for self-mappings in partial metric spaces endowed with a binary relation R $\mathcal{R}$.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Understanding the Effect of Resistance Temperature Detector Temperature Controllers on Microstructural Alignment in Magnetic Freeze Casting

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The effect of temperature controllers that are commonly used in freeze‐casting is investigated in this work. Temperature controllers are observed to generate a voltage in the slurry. Microstructural alignment and ultimate compressive strength data show this voltage to interfere with the ability to align the microstructure using magnetic fields ...

The Petrov-Galerkin Method and Chebyshev Multiwavelet Basis for Solving Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2007
: There are some methods for solving integro-differential equations. In this work, we solve the general-order Feredholm integro-differential equations. The Petrov-Galerkin method by considering Chebyshev multiwavelet basis is used.
