A Differential Evolution Algorithm Assisted by ANFIS for Music Fingering [PDF]
Music fingering is a cognitive process whose goal is to map each note of a music score to a fingering on some instrument. A fingering specifies the fingers of the hands that the player should use to play the notes.

Application of differential evolution to power system stabilizer design
Includes synopsis.Includes bibliographical references. In recent years, many Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) such as Genetic Algorithms (GAs) have been proposed to optimally tune the parameters of the PSS. GAs are population based search methods inspired by

Application of differential evolution algorithm in transmission expansion planning
Transmission expansion planning has become a complicated procedure more than it was. The rapid growth of the transmission networks and the deregulation has introduced more objectives and uncertainties to the transmission network planners.

Comparison of the Asynchronous Differential Evolution and JADE Minimization Algorithms
Differential Evolution (DE) is an efficient evolutionary algorithm to solve global optimization problems. In this work we compare performance of the recently proposed Asynchronous Differential Evolution with Adaptive Correlation Matrix (ADEACM) to the ...

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Distributed generators (DGs) are defined as generators that are connected to a distribution network. The direction of the power flow and short-circuit current in a network could be changed compared with one without DGs.

Word Sense Disambiguation Using Differential Evolution Algorithm
Word sense disambiguation (WSD) can be defined as the process of determining the meaning of a word as it is used in a specific context from a set of possible word senses.
