Suppression of Mode Conversion Due to Asymmetric Geometry of Dense Parallel Traces in Differential-Transmission Lines

2020 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC EUROPE, 2020
Symmetry is important for differential-transmission lines, but the dense parallel traces easily break the symmetry due to coupling with the adjacent conductor, leading to mode conversion. We propose an asymmetric geometry of differential-transmission lines placed on the side of a nonadjacent conductor to suppress mode conversion and maintain signal ...

Highly accurate computation of volume fractions using differential geometry

Journal of Computational Physics, 2019
This paper introduces a novel method for the efficient and accurate computation of the volume of a domain whose boundary is given by an orientable hypersurface which is implicitly given as the iso-contour of a sufficiently smooth level-set function ...

Geometry optimization of double pass solar air heater with helical flow path

, 2021
Solar air heaters (SAH) have been widely studied due to their extensive applications in solar energy extraction. This research is in line with the previous study of the authors of this article in which the energy efficiency and heat transfer performance ...

The Geometry of Differential Privacy: The Small Database and Approximate Cases

SIAM journal on computing (Print), 2016
In this work, we study trade-offs between accuracy and privacy in the context of linear queries over histograms. This is a rich class of queries that includes contingency tables and range queries and has been a focus of a long line of work.

Kinematic differential geometry of a rigid body in spatial motion—III. Distribution of characteristic lines in the moving body in spatial motion

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 1997
Based on the results of Parts I and II, the kinematic conditions for the moving body to be connected with a binary link by a kinematic pair are discussed and described by the geometrical properties of the line trajectory and the constraint ruled surface.

DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OF THE DEVICE SHELL WITH ARBITRARY GEOMETRY OF THE MERIDIAN LINE

Naukovì Dopovìdì Nacìonalʹnogo Unìversitetu Bìoresursiv ì Prirodokoristuvannâ Ukraïni
The theory describes the shell part of the apparatus as a surface with an arbitrary geometric outline and general acting factors. A mathematical model is constructed, and boundary conditions are formulated to determine the coordinate deformation functions of the shell part under any external disturbances.

Kinematic differential geometry of a rigid body in spatial motion—I. A new adjoint approach and instantaneous properties of a point trajectory in spatial kinematics

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 1997
Based on differential geometry, a new approach of a space curve adjoint to a ruled surface is presented in the paper. The geometrical properties of a point trajectory in spatial motion are extensively researched by means of the new adjoint approach. The invariants of axodes are derived and their kinematic meanings are revealed, and then, the invariants

Normally generated line bundle and laurent series solutions of nonlinear differential equations

Journal of Dynamical Systems and Geometric Theories, 2018
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the rich interaction between the properties of dynamical systems, the geometry of its asymptotic solutions, and the theory of Abelian varieties.

Street canyon ventilation: Combined effect of cross‐section geometry and wall heating

Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 2020
Understanding the dynamics of mass exchange between a street canyon and the overlying atmosphere is crucial to predict air quality in urban areas. Despite the large number of studies on this topic, there are many aspects that still need to be clarified ...
