Local Differential Privacy Location Protection for Mobile Terminals Based on Huffman Coding [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue yu tansuo
The location information of mobile terminals is closely linked to personal privacy, which may threaten users’ life and property safety if leaked. Local differential privacy model provides strict privacy protection effect, allows users to handle and ...

Methods for working with problem residents in medical physics residency education

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Medical physics residency training programs may occasionally encounter residents requiring additional intervention beyond normal training efforts. In the literature, these residents are referred to as “problem” residents. While the physician literature on the subject is valuable, this paper specifically focuses on dealing with a problem ...

Professionalism skills education in medical physics residency: Current state and perceived importance

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The purpose of this study was to collect data on current practices for teaching and assessing professionalism in CAMPEP‐accredited residency programs. Methods A survey of 21 questions was sent to 160 program directors (PDs) of CAMPEP‐accredited residency programs.

An investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery for 1–3 cm single brain lesions on the ring‐mounted Halcyon LINAC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose An evaluation of the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the Halcyon ring delivery system (RDS) for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment to relatively small (1–3 cm) brain lesions. Methods After completing the extensive in‐house quality assurance checks including Winston–Lutz test and independent dose verification via MD Anderson ...

Smoothed Differential Privacy

open access: yes, 2021
Differential privacy (DP) is a widely-accepted and widely-applied notion of privacy based on worst-case analysis. Often, DP classifies most mechanisms without external noise as non-private [Dwork et al., 2014], and external noises, such as Gaussian noise or Laplacian noise [Dwork et al., 2006], are introduced to improve privacy.

Privacy Auditing in Differential Private Machine Learning: The Current Trends

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Differential privacy has recently gained prominence, especially in the context of private machine learning. While the definition of differential privacy makes it possible to provably limit the amount of information leaked by an algorithm, practical ...

Unsupervised non‐small cell lung cancer tumor segmentation using cycled generative adversarial network with similarity‐based discriminator

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Tumor segmentation is crucial for lung disease diagnosis and treatment. Most existing deep learning‐based automatic segmentation methods rely on manually annotated data for network training. Purpose This study aims to develop an unsupervised tumor segmentation network smic‐GAN by using a similarity‐driven generative adversarial ...

Temporally Discounted Differential Privacy for Evolving Datasets on an Infinite Horizon [PDF]

open access: yes2020 ACM/IEEE 11th International Conference on Cyber-Physical Systems (ICCPS), 2019
We define discounted differential privacy, as an alternative to (conventional) differential privacy, to investigate privacy of evolving datasets, containing time series over an unbounded horizon. We use privacy loss as a measure of the amount of information leaked by the reports at a certain fixed time.
