The Decentralization of Liquor Policies in Texas During the Post‐Prohibition Era
ABSTRACT We examine the decentralization of liquor policies in Texas during the Post‐Prohibition era using newly collected historical legislative roll call data. By combining these data with local referendum vote shares, we analyze both legislators' and constituents' preferences on liquor policy.

Modeling economic growth dynamics: A fractional approach with 2D nonlinear Fisher equation
This study presents a robust numerical investigation of the two-dimensional time-fractional Fisher equation (TFFE), incorporating both Caputo and conformable fractional derivatives, to model key dynamics of economic growth.

Specification Tests for Jump‐Diffusion Models Based on the Characteristic Function
Summary Goodness‐of‐fit tests are suggested for several popular jump‐diffusion processes. The suggested test statistics utilise the marginal characteristic function of the model and its L2‐type discrepancy from an empirical counterpart. Model parameters are estimated either by minimising the aforementioned L2‐type discrepancy or by maximum likelihood ...

Polynomial based differential quadrature for numerical solutions of Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation
Bayram, Mustafa/0000-0002-2994-7201In this study, a numerical discrete derivative technique for solutions of Kuramoto-Sivashinksy equation is considered. According to the procedure, differential quadrature algorithm is adapted in space by using Chebyshev

Application of nonlocal elasticity and DQM to dynamic analysis of curved nanobeams
In this paper, a new numerical technique, the differential quadrature method (DQM) has been developed for dynamic analysis of the nanobeams in the polar coordinate system. DQ approximation of the required partial derivatives is given by a weighted linear

Dynamic capital allocation in general insurance
Abstract This paper provides a model for allocating capital to different insurance lines with varying development periods for a value‐maximizing insurance company. In our model, the company makes capitalization and exposure decisions considering its capital level and its relevant loss history.

Boundary-type quadrature and boundary element method
In this paper, we apply a boundary-type quadrature technique to derive a type of boundary element scheme, which is used to solve the boundary-value problems of partial differential equations.Numerical examples for solving the exterior boundary-value ...
