Medium Temperature Phase Change Materials Thermal Characterization by the T-History Method and Differential Scanning Calorimetry [PDF]
This paper presents a thermal characterization of salt mixtures applying the T-History Method and the Differential Scanning Calorimetry DSC techniques. By using water as a standard substance, the original T-History method was developed to analyze materials with melting points under 100 Celsius.

Temperature-Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry Analysis of High-Temperature Silicate Glasses [PDF]
Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is one of the most versatile probes for silicate glasses, allowing determination of, e.g., transition temperatures (glass, crystallization, melting) and the temperature dependence of heat capacity. However, complications arise for glasses featuring overlapping transitions and low sensitivity, e.g., arising from ...

Comparative Study of Experimental Methods for Measuring Thermal Properties of 100Cr6 Steel Powders
This study investigates the thermal properties of 100Cr6 steel in both bulk and powder forms. Measuring the very low thermal conductivity typically exhibited by powders poses significant challenges. To address this, two novel measurement techniques—temperature gradient and finite laser pulse response—are introduced and evaluated by comparison with the ...

Direct Natural and Artificial Aging of Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg After Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion
Laser powder‐bed fusion of metals aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg has been directly aged. Artificial aging after natural aging is considered. The hardening potential is high for the top part of the samples as well as after short natural aging. The hardening potential is substantially reduced for the bottom part of the samples, as well as after natural aging of

Study on the Water in Lignite by DSC
As pointed out in several previous works, new drying technologies must be developed to ensure lignite remained competitive. In order to design and test them, it was needed to have a better understanding of the characters of water in lignite.

A differential scanning calorimetry study of tetracycline repressor [PDF]
Tetracycline repressor (TetR), which constitutes the most common mechanism of bacterial resistance to an antibiotic, is a homodimeric protein composed of two identical subunits, each of which contains a domain possessing a helix–turn–helix motif and a domain responsible for binding tetracycline.

PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...
