Venetoclax‐Based Therapy as a Bridge to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Relapsed or Refractory Pediatric Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Relapsed and/or refractory (R/R) pediatric acute leukemia carries a dismal prognosis, largely driven by chemoresistance to conventional salvage therapy. The BH3‐mimetic venetoclax, combined with chemotherapy or hypomethylating agents, has demonstrated efficacy in small clinical trials.

mTOR signaling contributes to chondrocyte differentiation [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, 2008
AbstractThe mammalian Target Of Rapamycin (mTOR) is a nutrient‐sensing protein kinase that regulates numerous cellular processes. Fetal rat metatarsal explants were used as a physiological model to study the effect of mTOR inhibition on chondrogenesis. Insulin significantly enhanced their growth.

Weak signal acquisition enhancement in software GPS receivers – Pre-filtering combined post-correlation detection approach

open access: yesApplied Computing and Informatics, 2017
The Civilian Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers often encounter problems of interference and noise which degrade the receiver performance.

Biphasic Clinical Course of Pediatric Cytomegalovirus‐Associated Immune Thrombocytopenia: Early Poor Treatment Response but Favorable Long‐Term Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a recognized trigger of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP); however, its incidence and impact on disease course in children remain controversial. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the clinical course of pediatric patients with CMV‐associated ITP.

Parents of Youth With Cancer Report on Their Psychosocial Care: iSTEPPP Survey Finds Alignment and Gaps With Standards

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The Standards for Psychosocial Care for Children with Cancer and Their Families guide the provision of comprehensive psychosocial care. Parallel to research characterizing implementation of the Standards from the perspective of providers, this study examines implementation of the Standards from the perspective of parents of youth ...

Multiple-Symbol Differential Sphere Decoding Aided Amplify-and-Forward Differential Space-Time Modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Differential Space-Time Modulation (DSTM) employing multiple antennas provides a diversity advantage in rich scattering environments, whilst the excessive complexity of MIMO channel estimation is avoided.

Effect of Fiber Weave Structure in Printed Circuit Boards on Signal Transmission Characteristics

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this paper, we characterized and compared signal transmission performances of traces with different specifications of fiber weave. Measurements demonstrated that the dielectric constant, impedance fluctuation, and differential skew were all affected ...

Wavelet Time-scale Dependencies for Signal and Image Compression

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper, an evolution law through scales for modulus maxima of the wavelet transform of a signal is proposed. It corresponds to an atomic approximation of wavelet detail bands.

Chemotherapy for Spinal Cord Intramedullary Pediatric Low‐Grade Glioma—A Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric intramedullary low‐grade gliomas (PIMLGGs) are rare neoplasms that present unique clinical and management challenges. Although surgery remains the primary tool for tissue diagnosis and decompression, complete gross‐total resection is frequently unfeasible due to the infiltrative nature of these lesions.

Optimization Design of Improving Signal Integrity for Enhancing Differential-Mode Transmission Lines

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This study proposes the optimization design to improve the integrity of the voltage signals of a conventional differential-mode structure. In this paper, we employ the electronic packages simulation software SPEED 2000 to perform an analysis ...
