An Energy‐Conscious, Regulation‐Ready and Formally Verified Security Protocol for Low‐Power Medical and Safety Devices

open access: yesIET Smart Cities, Volume 8, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper presents an energy‐conscious, formally verified security protocol for low‐power medical and safety IoT devices operating in regulated environments. The protocol combines lightweight cryptography with formal verification and is validated through simulation and real‐world deployment across heterogeneous platforms.

Diffy

open access: yes
Diffy is a duo music project comprising a drummer and a sound designer, connected by a set of machine learning-based sound design agents. In this project, we explore and juxtapose a set of three machine learning-based techniques for manipulating the timbral qualities of percussion instruments in real-time with low-latency.

Designing Physical Unclonable Functions From Optically Active Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 49, December 10, 2025.
Assigning unforgeable “fingerprints” to manufactured goods is a key strategy to fight global counterfeiting. Optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are chemically generated random patterns of optically active materials serving as unique authenticators.
