Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Terminal groups on Cu porphyrins modulate the electronic states of single‐atom Cu centers through a long‐range electronic effect, without altering the Cu coordination geometry. Meanwhile, a multi‐descriptor framework is established that incorporates porphyrin regulation, hybrid catalyst properties, and CO2 photoreduction capabilities.

To circumvent the problem of radiation damage when using an x-ray coherent diffraction imaging experiment to resolve the structure of biological samples, we propose a method to add objects made of heavy atoms with the bio-samples or we load the samples ...

Protein crystal structure from non-oriented, single-axis sparse X-ray data
X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs) have inspired the development of serial femtosecond crystallography (SFX) as a method to solve the structure of proteins.

A software perspective on infinite elements for wave diffraction and wave forces on marine risers [PDF]
This thesis describes work on the problem of the scattering of water waves by fixed objects. The method used to solve this problem is that of finite and infinite elements. In particular the development of a new wave infinite element is described. Various

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

We concern the problem of laser beam diffraction by a phase object with and without radiation absorption. In terms of a plane optical wave passing through the object, we solve the scalar Helmholtz wave equation in the first Rytov approximation and ...

Semi-Analytical Methods for Different Problems of Diffraction-Radiation by Vertical Circular Cylinders [PDF]
As in the other fields of mechanics, analytical methods represent an important analysis tool in marine hydrodynamics. The analytical approach is interesting for different reasons : it gives reference results for numerical codes verification, it gives physical insight into some complicated problems, it can be used as a simplified predesign tool, etc ...
