Electronic Spectroscopy of C60+ and Its Analogs C60H2O+, C60H+, C60D+, and C60Mg+
The fullerenes C _60 and C _70 have been detected in various interstellar environments, and the cation ${{{\rm{C}}}_{60}}^{+}$ has been identified as a carrier of at least four of the diffuse interstellar bands (DIBs). Based on the presence of fullerenes

Approximation of Daily AMS‐02 Spectra With Machine Learning Methods
Abstract Almost three thousand daily AMS‐02 proton spectra from 2011 to 2019 offer the most precise and extensive data set of cosmic ray spectra covering a wide energy range. As such, they offer a unique opportunity to test machine learning algorithms for approximating cosmic ray proton spectra based on the inputs usually available to solar modulation ...

Doppler splitting in diffuse interstellar bands [PDF]
We demonstrate evident Doppler splitting in the profiles of many narrow diffuse interstellar bands (DIBs). Their components are compared with those of atomic and molecular lines of interstellar origin. It is shown that it is likely that the species that shares both wavelength shifts and strength ratios of the Doppler components seen in the DIB profiles

ABSTRACT Humanity seems stuck on different ways to fail to meet the challenge posed by a declared climate emergency and manifest problems of ecological breakdown. Rather than reprise these failures, we use the Fermi Paradox and simulation hypothesis to make a simple point about agency. The argument unfolds in two sections.

Estimating Soft X‐Ray Emission From Uranus's Magnetosheath
Abstract Soft X‐ray emission occurs within planetary magnetosheaths when highly charged solar wind ions undergo charge exchange with neutrals. The emission can provide dynamic views of the magnetosheath and cusps, allowing for investigations of the solar wind interaction with a planetary magnetosphere.

Clusters Stagnating During Condensation: Metastable Material or a Separate State of Matter?
Condensation stagnation, that is, the existence of a delay between nucleation and growth during the gas‐phase particle formation, is a crucial phenomenon, which manifests itself as the presence of supercritical clusters in resulting particulates. The light emission signature of stagnant clusters is identified in the magnesium particle flame in air, and,

Multi-Wavelength Observations and Modeling of Loop I
The article aims to overview the origin and current dynamical state of a giant structure on the northern galactic sky—the radio Loop I extending from ≈ − 45 ∘ to ≈ + 45 ∘ in longitudes and up to ≈ 80 ...

Low‐Frequency Microwave Absorption Composites
The microwave absorption principles and low‐frequency performance factors are briefly introduced. Recent progress is systematically summarized in five different based composites. Then detailed analysis focuses on relationships and mechanisms about micro‐structure and macro‐performance.
