Assembling defenses against therapy-resistant leukemic stem cells: Bcl6 joins the ranks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The resistance of leukemic stem cells in response to targeted therapies such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) relies on the cooperative activity of multiple signaling pathways and molecules, including TGFβ, AKT, and FOXO transcription factors ...

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

Correlation of high numbers of intratumoral FOXP3+ regulatory T cells with improved survival in germinal center-like diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma and classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma

open access: yesHaematologica, 2008
Background The tumor microenvironment is important for the behavior of cancer. We assessed the distribution and biological significance of FOXP3+ regulatory T-cells (Treg) in lymphomas.Design and Methods The absolute number of intratumoral FOXP3+ cells ...

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

A Case of a Rapidly Progressive Small Bowel Lymphoma with High Ki-67 Expression

open access: yesThe Korean Journal of Helicobacter and Upper Gastrointestinal Research, 2017
Primary intestinal lymphoma is a rare disease. It accounts for approximately 1∼4% of gastrointestinal malignancy. Extranodal lymphoma of the intestine mainly arises from B cells.

Sinonasal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: own clinical observation and literature review

open access: yesОнкогематология
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is the most common immunomorphological variant of lymphoma in adults. Extranodal lesions are observed in a third of patients at the disease onset.
