Annual models of monthly mean hourly direct, diffuse, and global solar radiation at ground

open access: yesMeteorologische Zeitschrift, 1999
A method is proposed for estimating monthly mean hourly direct, diffuse, and global solar radiation from annual stochastical models (correlation coefficients are higher than 0.99), using only actual and daily maximum solar elevation and respective daily ...

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.

Halide Perovskite Integrated Photovoltaic Cathodes Incorporating Pt on ZIF‐8‐Derived Carbon for Solar Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐Pt catalyst supported on zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF‐8)‐derived porous carbon and graphite is integrated with a halide perovskite photovoltaic, yielding cathodes that achieve a high photocurrent density (∼20 mA cm−2) under simulated sunlight and exhibit remarkable stability in acidic media over several days, thereby demonstrating a ...

Development of New Models for the Estimation of Hourly Components of Solar Radiation: Tests, Comparisons, and Application for the Generation of a Solar Database in Morocco

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2021
All studies of solar systems need the hourly values of solar fluxes related to the different components of solar radiation. However, for most sites, measurements are not available.

Diffuse solar radiation correlations: Applications to Turkey and Australia

open access: yesEnergy, 1995
In order to obtain the diffuse radiation for practical application at various locations, 12 theoretical models for calculating the monthly-average, daily, diffuse radiation as a function of atmospheric parameters were applied to measured data in Turkey and Australia. Results of error analyses and calculated monthly-average, daily, diffuse estimates are

Charge Generation and Recombination Pathways in All‐Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multimodal spectroscopy and device analysis reveal how field‐dependent charge generation, transport limitations, and non‐geminate recombination govern performance losses in all polymer solar cells. The results identify the key processes controlling charge extraction and recombination, providing insights for the design of more efficient all‐polymer ...
