HfxZr1−xO2${\rm Hf}_x{\rm Zr}_{1-x}{\rm O}_2$ offers CMOS‐compatible nanoscale ferroelectricity yet suffers from a high Ec${\rm E}_c$ demanding large operating voltages. A unified phase‐field framework spanning AFE/FE/DE phases shows how FE grains soften neighboring AFE grains over λ$\lambda$ ≈$\approx$ 22–37 nm.

Bio‐Inspired Artificial Ionic Mechanoreceptor
A skin‐inspired artificial mechanoreceptor based on ionic interactions is presented for biomimetic tactile sensing. Pressure‐driven ionic redistribution within microfluidic channels generates a self‐powered electrical signal without external bias. The generated waveform exhibits mechanoreceptor‐like temporal features, including overshoot and undershoot,

Tracking Battery Microstructural Degradation Through Directional Thermal Transport Signatures
In lithium‐ion batteries, heat conduction varies between the through‐plane and in‐plane directions because of the cell's layered structure. Therefore, cell degradation influences thermal conductivity in each direction uniquely due to detailed microstructural and compositional changes.

High‐Speed Photoresponse of CVD‐Grown Lateral TMD Heterostructures
Internal electric fields generated by p‐n junctions and asymmetric Schottky barriers enhance the photoresponse speed in CVD‐grown monolayer TMD lateral heterostructures. This results in a 1.5‐2 orders of magnitude reduction in rise and fall times for optimized device configurations compared to homogeneous single‐material devices, enabling bandwidths ...

Exchange‐Coupled Two‐Dimensional MOFs
Graphene mediates ferromagnetic coupling between two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks and cobalt. Fe‐tetracyanobenzene develops a remanent magnetic response whose orientation follows the cobalt magnetization direction and persists up to room temperature, whereas Ni‐TCNB remains only field‐polarized.

Optical diffusion in layered media
Applied Optics, 1988In highly scattering media, light energy fluence rate distributions can be described by diffusion theory. Boundary conditions, appropriate to the diffusion approximation, are derived for surfaces where reflection of diffuse light occurs. Both outer surfaces and interfaces separating media with different indices of refraction can be treated.

Diffusion-Limited Growth of Wetting Layers
Physical Review Letters, 1986In binary liquid mixtures, the growth of wetting layers can be limited by diffusion. At complete wetting, the distance i between the interfaces bounding the layer is shown to grow as i(t) = A «t' for large times t where A~ increases near the consolute point. In three dimensions where this growth behavior should be accessible to experiments, 8 = T and ~

Diffusion in the diabatic surface layer
Journal of Geophysical Research, 1962Diffusion from point and line sources in an adiabatic surface layer were briefly discussed using a similarity method by Ellison, following a suggestion made at the 1958 Oxford Symposium by Batchelor. The chief result is that the ground concentration at a downwind distance x, from a point source at ground level, is found to be proportional to xm, where ...
