A Conceptual Model for the Organisational Adoption of Information System Security Innovations [PDF]
Information System (IS) Security threats is still a major concern for many organisations. However, most organisations fall short in achieving a successful adoption and implementation of IS security measures. In this paper, we developed a theoretical model for the adoption process of IS Security innovations in organisations.

Photo‐Assisted Zn‐Iodine Battery via Bifunctional Cathode with Iodine Host and Solar Response Boost
A bifunctional cathode based on BiOI materials is developed for photo‐assisted Zn‐iodine batteries, serving as both an iodine host and a solar‐responsive material. This design enables dual reaction routes involving vacancy‐based iodine storage and reversible two steps iodine redox.

The Diffusion of Innovations in Social Networks [PDF]
AbstractThis chapter examines the effects of network topology on the diffusion of behaviors. A key empirical question is, what is the expected length of time for a network to “switch over” from the old behavior to the new? It uncovers conditions on network topology the decision process that, surprisingly, bound the expected waiting time for diffusion ...

An estimation of distribution algorithm for the computation of innovation estimators of diffusion processes [PDF]
Estimation of Distribution Algorithms (EDAs) and Innovation Method are recognized methods for solving global optimization problems and for the estimation of parameters in diffusion processes, respectively. Well known is also that the quality of the Innovation Estimator strongly depends on an adequate selection of the initial value for the parameters ...

This study introduces an extracorporeal hemoperfusion system incorporating porous microbeads embedded with autocatalytic ceria nanoparticles (CeNPs) for targeted reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging in septic shock. The blood‐compatible hemoperfusion cartridge demonstrated significant improvements in survival, hemodynamic stability, and organ ...
