Analytical Solutions for the Impedance of Cauchy‐ and Gauss‐Type Relaxation Processes

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2026.
Analytical solutions for the impedance of Cauchy‐type and Gauss‐type relaxation functions are derived. It is shown that neither of these frequently used basis functions for DRT reconstruction reflects classical experimental data at high and low frequencies.

Certain Geometric Study Involving the Barnes–Mittag-Leffler Function

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The main purpose of this paper is to study certain geometric properties of a class of analytic functions involving the Barnes–Mittag-Leffler function. The main mathematical tools are the monotonicity patterns of some class of functions associated with ...

Lasso Penalization for High‐Dimensional Beta Regression Models: Computation, Analysis, and Inference

open access: yesStat, Volume 14, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Beta regression is commonly employed when the outcome variable is a proportion. Since its conception, the approach has been widely used in applications spanning various scientific fields. A series of extensions have been proposed over time, several of which address variable selection and penalized estimation, e.g., with an ℓ1$$ {\ell}_1 ...

Nomenclature and typification of sectional names in Carex (Cyperaceae)

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 74, Issue 6, Page 1543-1568, December 2025.
Abstract This paper presents an updated survey of all the published names at the section rank in Carex and its formerly accepted satellite genera. We included related names at other ranks when relevant. We address validity, legitimacy, priority, typification, and – if relevant – synonymy.

Stein's method of moments

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Statistics, Volume 52, Issue 4, Page 1594-1624, December 2025.
Abstract Stein operators allow one to characterize probability distributions via differential operators. Based on these characterizations, we develop a new method of point estimation for marginal parameters of strictly stationary and ergodic processes, which we call Stein's Method of Moments (SMOM). These SMOM estimators satisfy the desirable classical

New Sharp Bounds for Gamma and Digamma Functions

open access: yesAnnals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University - Mathematics, 2011
Inspired by the recent paper giving the two-sided Stirling-like sharp estimates of the factorial, the author uses this result to obtain bounds for gamma and digamma functions. To do this he constructs a completely monotonic function \(f\) containing a gamma function and some other functions and constants related to the bounds of the above estimates of \

Prescribed‐Time Disturbance‐Observing Chainlike Filtering Approach to Double‐Sided Event‐Driven Formation Tracking of Underactuated Underwater Vehicles With Kinematic and Kinetic Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 35, Issue 16, Page 6752-6769, 10 November 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the distributed prescribed‐time formation tracking problem for uncertain multiple six‐degree‐of‐freedom underactuated underwater vehicles operating in dynamic state and input‐triggered environments. A critical challenge lies in addressing the nondifferentiability of event‐triggered state variables during recursive ...

Qi’s conjectures on completely monotonic degrees of remainders of asymptotic formulas of di- and trigamma functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2020
Several conjectures posed by Qi on completely monotonic degrees of remainders for the asymptotic formulas of the digamma and trigamma functions are proved.

Estimation and Prediction for the Bounded Transformed Gamma Process: A Bayesian Approach

open access: yesApplied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, Volume 41, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
ABSTRACT In this article, an informative Bayesian approach is proposed for the bounded transformed gamma process, a novel stochastic process recently proposed in the literature to describe bounded above, monotonic increasing, degradation phenomena.
