Analysis of transmission schemes for satellite digital audio broadcasting
Proceedings of GLOBECOM '93. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2002The European Space Agency (ESA) is studying different transmission techniques suited for satellite sound broadcasting services. The authors report preliminary results about the performance of two efficient transmission techniques, namely coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and coded quasi-orthogonal code division multiplexing.

A chip set for a digital audio broadcasting channel decoder
Proceedings of the IEEE 1995 Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 2002In this paper the design of two chips for an ASIC based channel decoder for a Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) system is discussed. The ASIC solution is a follow-up to an expensive implementation which is based on general purpose DSP processors. Both ASICs are used in a test receiver and a precursor consumer DAB receiver.

Seit Einfuhrung von UKW gab es in der technischen Entwicklung des Horfunks keine wesentlichen Weiterentwicklungen — im Prinzip kann auch heute noch jeder mit einem traditionellen Transistor oder gar einem alten Rohrenempfanger Horfunk empfangen.
