Distortion correction for digital cameras
Proceedings SIBGRAPI'98. International Symposium on Computer Graphics, Image Processing, and Vision (Cat. No.98EX237), 2002This paper describes a method to correct lens distortion for digital cameras. A simple but effective distortion model using local spatial transformation will be used. In addition, the effect of effective focal length on the distortion model will be considered, and we will discuss how to introduce this factor to enhance the model.

Storage of digital camera images

We assume that the camera is designed to store a fixed number of images, and that lossy rate controlled compression is used to ensure that each image fits in the space allocated to it.
