Digital Staining of White Blood Cells With Confidence Estimation
IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2023Chemical staining of the blood smears is one of the crucial components of blood analysis. It is an expensive, lengthy and sensitive process, often prone to produce slight variations in colour and seen structures due to a lack of unified protocols across laboratories.

Digit recognition with confidence
2011 IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS), 2011Assigning a confidence measure is a challenging stochastic inference problem. Some algorithms only yield the predicted value without evaluating the measure of confidence over the decision. Support vector machines is one algorithm that showed state of the art decision accuracy but lacks a measure of confidence over the decisions.

Digital filter with confidence input
2015 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP), 2015An extension to standard digital finite input response low-pass filters is proposed, allowing full suppression of noise peaks at the expense of gradually decreasing broadband noise-suppression performance. Each input sample is associated with a confidence value, where zero-confidence samples must not contribute to the filter output.

Digital oscilloscope displays results together with confidence bounds.
2009 IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing, 2009We have designed and implemented a platform independent computer-based digital oscilloscope using a high performance 32-bit RISC microcontroller. The oscilloscope program makes use of very low software and hardware cost, and uses recursive formulas (e.g.

Confidence Intervals for the Percentage of Even Digits
1996Suppose a political poll says that 56% of voters approve of the job the president is doing and that .this poll has a margin of error of 3%. The 3% margin of error results from the fact that the poll was taken from a sample of voters. Since not all voters were included, there is some error due to sampling, or sampling error. If all voters had been asked,
