Integrated Flexible Zwitterionic Electrochemical Sensor Platform for Real‐Time Salivary Glucose Quantification

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
A flexible electrochemical sensor platform can enable continuous, real‐time monitoring of salivary glucose for applications confined to spaces such as the oral cavity. Surface modifications with Prussian blue, chitosan, and zwitterionic polymers enhance sensitivity, selectivity, and antiadherent performance.

Digitalization in Restorative Dentistry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Digitalization is the first step involving a digital restorative dentistry workflow. Although the digitalization process was initially confined to CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) dental procedures, nowadays a much wider range of dental procedures have been revolutionized by their ongoing digitalization.

3D-Printed Temporary Wing Bride as a Temporary Restoration in the Posterior

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry
The fear of a missing tooth often leads to postponing the visit at the dentist. While extraction itself is a major stressful experience for the patient, the presence of visible gaps or missing teeth inside or outside the aesthetic zone is a deal breaker ...

Engineering Dimensional Configuration of Single‐Atom S‐Cu‐S Sites as Reversible Electron Station for Enhanced Peroxidase‐Mimicking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
L‐cysteine triggers auto‐assembly of POD‐like 3D biomimetic S‐Cu‐S single‐atom nanozymes on MoS2 (MoCC). MoCC shows 16.3‐fold higher catalytic velocity and 17.9‐fold greater affinity than HRP, enabling efficient •OH generation via enhanced electron inversion and transfer.

Digital Dentistry — 3D Printing Applications

open access: yesJournal of Interdisciplinary Medicine, 2017
Three-dimensional (3D) printing is an additive manufacturing method in which a 3D item is formed by laying down successive layers of material. 3D printers are machines that produce representations of objects either planned with a CAD program or scanned ...

Temporal Stretch‐Induced Nuclear Mechanosensing Coordinates Early Chromatin Accessibility and Genome Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cyclic stretching of fibroblasts triggers coordinated nuclear mechanosensing events, including calcium ion release, perinuclear actin assembly, emerin translocation, and H3K9me3 loss, increasing chromatin accessibility for specific genes related to mechanotransduction and repair.

Nuclear Factor I‐B Delays Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting Chemokine Ligand 5 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the transcription factor Nuclear Factor I‐B (NFIB) as a key suppressor of liver fibrosis. NFIB expression declines during hepatic stellate cell activation, and its overexpression reduces fibrosis in mice models. The mechanism involves NFIB directly repressing chemokine C─C motif ligand 5 (CCL5), thereby alleviating oxidative ...
