A digital library for using mine tailings in low-carbon concrete replacements for mine back-filling & 3D printing [PDF]
Research to investigate the inclusion of mine tailings into low carbon concrete replacement materials for both mine back-filling and 3D printing has the potential to reduce the proportions of unutilized waste produced by mining-intensive countries.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Shrinkage characterization and compensation for 3DPC [PDF]
3D concrete printing is an additive manufacturing process in which elongated beads are assembled in layers to form 3D parts. In cementitious materials, water evaporation as well as the setting of the material results in a volumetric shrinkage of the ...

The territory of digital fabrication

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
