Bandpass (bandstop) digital filter design routine
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978As a complement to the design methods for low pass digital filters previously published [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 48, 1447 (1977)], we present a description of a bandpass (or bandstop) digital filter design program, a demonstration of its use, and the fortran code.

Tabu Search metaheuristic for designing digital filters
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 1998This paper deals with the application of a Tabu Search (TS) metaheuristic to the design of digital filters, with coefficient values expressed as the sum of power of two. The performances of the algorithm are heavily affected by the choice of its parameters, which in turn are related to different implemented strategies.

In this chapter we outline some of the best-known methods for designing non-recursive and recursive digital filters. Although almost any DSP algorithm or processor can reasonably be described as a ‘filter’, the term is commonly reserved for processors which transmit (or reject) well-defined frequency ranges.

DIGITAL FILTER DESIGN TECHNIQUES
1965Abstract : Digital filtering is the process of spectrum shaping using digital components as the basic elements. Increasing speed and decreasing size and cost of digital components make it likely that digital filtering, already used extensively in the computer simulation of analog filters, will perform, in real- time devices, the functions which are now

Designing simple, effective digital filters
IEEE Transactions on Audio and Electroacoustics, 1970Models for a class of narrow-band digital filters and a class of wide-band digital filters are developed and analyzed The analysis forms a basis for a computer-aided design technique for such filters. Our aim is to show that useful performance can be achieved within the constraints of very simple realizations.

Design of state digital filters
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1998In this correspondence, we develop a very simple algorithm for the design of a second-order state-space digital filter. The design equations presented here were derived on the rendition that the sensitivity of the coefficients in the state-space digital filter (SDF) are spread uniformly to all coefficients of the SDF.

Preliminary Digital Filter Design
2020The general filter passes various matters to separate out unwanted things. In electrical engineering, the filter is known as the device for minimizing or suppressing the noise frequencies to obtain the better signals.

Practical Digital Filter Design
1972Abstract : Review of Fourier, Laplace and Z-transforms provides introduction to discrete time systems. The RC low-pass filter is modeled in terms of a feedback structure and compared with its analogy to recursive low-pass digital filters. These topics introduce the preferred transversal digital filter for low-pass and band-pass applications.

Design of bandpass digital filters
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1969A method for synthesizing bandpass digital filters is described and illustrated by a particular example. This method rests on a complex plane mapping performed on the z plane, and has several advantages over others proposed by various authors.

Digital filter design and evaluation
2013Filters can be used in many applications. Filters can be used to reduce undesired noise, or to output a signal with specific requirements. Based on given design requirements of an output signal, different types of filters can be designed that all meet the specifications.
