Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

A Non-Adaptive Single-Phase PLL Based on Discrete Half-Band Filtering to Suppress Severe Frequency Disturbances

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The interconnection of new generating and storing devices to the power grid imposes the necessity of synchronizing, so the power flow can be manipulated and distributed.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

The analysis of conditions for preservation of gain-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics optimality under analog and digital filters transformation

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал, 2020
Prototype filters have wide usage for the design of filters with required quality indexes (QI) of gain-frequency response (GFR). The designed filter is obtained from a prototype filter b means of frequency transformation, which preserves these QI.

Polyphase networks, block digital filtering, LPTV systems, and alias-free QMF banks: a unified approach based on pseudocirculants [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The relationship between block digital filtering and quadrature mirror filter (QMF) banks is explored. Necessary and sufficient conditions for alias cancellation in QMF banks are expressed in terms of an associated matrix, derived from the polyphase ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...
