Diffraction from deformed volume holograms: perturbation theory approach [PDF]
We derive the response of a volume grating to arbitrary small deformations, using a perturbative approach. This result is of interest for two applications: (a) when a deformation is undesirable and one seeks to minimize the diffracted field's sensitivity

From oil refining to high refractive index photopolymers for bulk plastic optics. The synthesis of a new photopolymer resin derived from inexpensive sulfur petrochemicals is reported affording a high‐quality optical glass that is amenable to a wide range of photopolymerization‐based fabricated methods, including 3D Printing, for precision plastic ...

Imaging of a vibrating object by Sideband Digital Holography [PDF]
We obtain quantitative measurements of the oscillation amplitude of vibrating objects by using sideband digital holography. The frequency sidebands on the light scattered by the object, shifted by n times the vibration frequency, are selectively detected

Submicron pillar array of an azo molecular glass (IA‐Chol) is used as media for polarization recording, which is achieved through directional pillar deformations induced by the illumination. The pillar arrays generate different diffracted waves upon the polarizations of the incident beams used for recording and image reconstruction.

Pulsatile microvascular blood flow imaging by short-time Fourier transform analysis of ultrafast laser holographic interferometry [PDF]
We report on wide-field imaging of pulsatile microvascular blood flow in the exposed cerebral cortex of a mouse by holographic interferometry. We recorded interferograms of laser light backscattered by the tissue, beating against an off-axis reference ...

Complete Mode Spectrum Decomposition of Complex‐Structured Light by Computer‐Generated Holography
In this article, a new optical method based on self‐interference is proposed to completely decompose the eigenmode spectrum of complex‐structured light. A diffractive optical method is designed and validated to extract the complete information of complex‐structured light fields composed with eigenmode superposition states, including the order of ...

Chirped Pulses Meet Quantum Dots: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Perspectives
Chirped laser pulse excitation is the most robust method to generate high‐quality photon states from quantum dots. Here, a comprehensive overview of methods is presented to produce and characterize chirped pulses, by providing numerical design examples with experimental advantages and challenges in each.
