Optical diffraction tomography using a digital micromirror device for stable measurements of 4-D refractive index tomography of cells

open access: yes, 2016
Optical diffraction tomography (ODT) is an interferometric microscopy technique capable of measuring 3-D refractive index (RI) distribution of transparent samples.

Plasma diagnostics using digital holographic interferometry

open access: yes, 2008
The advances in Charge Coupled Devices in one hand and the high resolution measurements of holographic technique on the other hand, we have adopted the method of digital real-time holographic interferometry for the diagnostics of high density plasma. The measured values of plasma electron density agree with the measurements from other techniques.

Reconstruction of a three-dimensional, transonic rotor flow field from holographic interferogram data [PDF]

open access: yes
Holographic interferometry and computerized aided tomography (CAT) are used to determine the transonic velocity field of a model rotor blade in hover. A pulsed ruby laser recorded 40 interferograms with a 2 ft dia view field near the model rotor blade ...

Application of digital holographic interferometry to pressure measurements of symmetric, supercritical and circulation-control airfoils in transonic flow fields [PDF]

open access: yes
Six airfoil interferograms were evaluated using a semiautomatic image-processor system which digitizes, segments, and extracts the fringe coordinates along a polygonal line.

Study of optical techniques for the Ames unitary wind tunnels. Part 4: Model deformation [PDF]

open access: yes
A survey of systems capable of model deformation measurements was conducted. The survey included stereo-cameras, scanners, and digitizers. Moire, holographic, and heterodyne interferometry techniques were also looked at.

Optical strain measuring techniques for high temperature tensile testing [PDF]

open access: yes
A number of optical techniques used for the analysis of in-plane displacements or strains are reviewed. The application would be for the high temperature, approximately 1430 C (2600 F), tensile testing of ceramic composites in an oxidizing atmosphere ...
