Direct-Write Digital Holography. Development and research of a hologram printer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
Chapter 1 gives a brief history of the field of holography along with an overview of this thesis. A more detailed description of holography is provided in Chapter 2 along with a discussion of digital holography. Chapter 3 examines the design of a one-step monochromatic hologram printer capable producing white-light viewable transmission holograms ...

Crack Detection by Optical Voice Recorder Based on Digital Holography

open access: yesPhotonic Sensors, 2019
The detection of crack on materials is an important issue in industry. On the contrary to conventional methods, such as manual inspection, sensor detection, and image processing techniques, a new simple method to detect the crack is proposed with optical

Hyperspectral holography and spectroscopy: computational features of inverse discrete cosine transform [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Broadband hyperspectral digital holography and Fourier transform spectroscopy are important instruments in various science and application fields. In the digital hyperspectral holography and spectroscopy the variable of interest are obtained as inverse discrete cosine transforms of observed diffractive intensity patterns.

AutoSAFT: Autofocusing for extended depth of imaging in scanning acoustic microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract In the scanning acoustic microscopy (SAM) imaging, it is essential to address the diminished lateral resolution in the out‐of‐focus region, as image quality correlates with the ultrasound propagation distance either above or below the focal plane.

Integration of Cobalt Ferromagnetic Control Gates for Electrical and Magnetic Manipulation of Semiconductor Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 14, April 3, 2025.
This work integrates nano‐sized cobalt control gates into a fully‐depleted silicon‐on‐insulator (FDSOI) nanowire architecture, combining electrical and ferromagnetic properties for scalable electron spin qubits. The design enables quantum dot formation at cryogenic temperatures and localized electric dipole spin resonance (EDSR).

Photopolymer Resins from Sulfenyl Chloride Commodity Chemicals for Plastic Optics, Photopatterning and 3D‐Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 14, April 9, 2025.
From oil refining to high refractive index photopolymers for bulk plastic optics. The synthesis of a new photopolymer resin derived from inexpensive sulfur petrochemicals is reported affording a high‐quality optical glass that is amenable to a wide range of photopolymerization‐based fabricated methods, including 3D Printing, for precision plastic ...

Dynamic Steerable Patterning of Microscale Particles and Living Cells Using an Ultrasound‐Phased Array

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 5, Issue 4, April 2025.
Ultrasound transducers can be used to pattern microscale particles. Herein, it is shown that dynamic patterning, i.e., varying pattern location and direction using transmit beamforming, can be achieved using a (clinical)‐phased array transducer without the need for a reflector. Moreover, initial acoustic patterning results on living cells are presented,

Incoherent digital holograms acquired by interferenceless coded aperture correlation holography system without refractive lenses [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We present a lensless, interferenceless incoherent digital holography technique based on the principle of coded aperture correlation holography. The acquired digital hologram by this technique contains a three-dimensional image of some observed scene.
