Digital Holographic Printing Methods for 3D Visualization of Cultural Heritage Artifacts

open access: yesDigital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage, 2014
Holography enables capture and reconstruction of the optical field scattered from three-dimensional (3D) objects. The hologram encodes both amplitude and phase of the field under coherent illumination, whereas photography records only the amplitude by ...

Exploring shot noise and Laser Doppler imagery with heterodyne holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Heterodyne Holography is a variant of Digital Holography, where the optical frequencies of signal and reference arms can be freely adjusted by acousto-optic modulators. Heterodyne Holography is an extremely versatile and reliable holographic technique, which is able the reach the shot noise limit in sensitivity at very low levels of signal.

Deep DIH : Statistically Inferred Reconstruction of Digital In-Line Holography by Deep Learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Digital in-line holography is commonly used to reconstruct 3D images from 2D holograms for microscopic objects. One of the technical challenges that arise in the signal processing stage is removing the twin image that is caused by the phase-conjugate wavefront from the recorded holograms.

Digital holography with ultimate sensitivity [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters 32, 8 (2007) 909, 2008
We propose a variant of the heterodyne holography scheme that combines the properties of off-axis and phase-shifting holography. This scheme makes it possible to filter off numerically the zero-order image alias and the technical noise of the reference.

Based on incoherent spatial light modulator telescopic experimental research of digital holographic imaging system about “White light”

open access: yesResults in Optics, 2021
At present, there are few researches about telescopic digital holography (TDH) on the combination of digital holography and telescope technology. Because this technology generally cause low phase shift accuracy and large image reconstruction distance ...

Super-Bandwidth Two-Step Phase-Shifting Off-Axis Digital Holography by Optimizing Two-Dimensional Spatial Frequency Sampling Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The presence of the auto correlation and twin cross correlation noises restrict the available spatial bandwidth of the holographic microscopy to much less than the available bandwidth of the digital sensor.

Resolution Enhancement of Geometric Phase Self-Interference Incoherent Digital Holography Using Synthetic Aperture

open access: yesPhotonics
Incoherent digital holography is a promising solution for acquiring three-dimensional information in the form of interference without a laser. Self-interference is the principal phenomenon of incoherent holography which splits the incident light wave ...

Two-Dimensional Polarization Holographic Gratings in Azopolymer Thin Films: Polarization Properties in the Presence or Absence of Surface Relief

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
During polarization holographic recording in azopolymer thin films, usually together with the volume anisotropic grating, a surface relief grating (SRG) is also formed.

Experimental Investigation of Mode Diversity Reception Using an Optical Turbulence Generator and Digital Holography [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Mode diversity reception is experimentally investigated using an optical turbulence generator, off-axis digital holography, and digital demultiplexing. The results confirm improved fibre coupling efficiency when receiving the optical field using a multi-mode fibre instead of a single-mode fibre under turbulent conditions, specifically beam wander.

Energy Transfer from the Liquid Crystal Bulk to the Surface Enables Dynamic Topographies via Anisotropic Plasticized Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Surface topographical deformation is enhanced in liquid crystal polymer/oligomer network coatings by integrating nonreactive liquid crystal 5CB as a plasticizer, which facilitates the creation of dynamic polymer‐based solid optical devices. Abstract Surfaces with dynamic topographies play a pivotal role in modern technology by providing adaptable ...
