Self-adaptive Isogeometric Global Digital Image Correlation and Digital Height Correlation

This work explores the full potential of isogeometric shape functions for global digital image correlation. To this end, a novel DIC and DHC (digital height correlation) methodology have been developed based on adaptive refinement of isogeometric shape functions.

Augmented Lagrangian Digital Image Correlation

Experimental Mechanics, 2018
Digital image correlation (DIC) is a powerful experimental technique for measuring full-field displacement and strain. The basic idea of the method is to compare images of an object decorated with a speckle pattern before and after deformation, and thereby to compute the displacement and strain fields.

Recent Progress in Digital Image Correlation

Experimental Mechanics, 2010
In this paper, we report the following important progress recently made in the basic theory and implementation of digital image correlation (DIC) for deformation and shape measurement. First, we answer a basic but confusing question to the users of DIC: what is a good speckle pattern for DIC?

Digital Image Correlation and Color Cameras

Experimental Mechanics, 2017
Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is a well-known experimental technique. It works by constructing a (surjective) mapping of pixel intensity from reference to target image, where the mapping parameters are identified using a Least Squares approach.

Digital Image Correlation
