Developing a raster detector system with the J array processing language [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
All digital copying aims to reproduce an original image as faithfully as possible under certain constraints. In the past, image processing had to be implemented in hardware for performance reasons. Here, a 100% software solution is outlined.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Gated Fusion Networks for Multi-Modal Violence Detection

open access: yesAI
Public safety and security require an effective monitoring system to detect violence through visual, audio, and motion data. However, current methods often fail to utilize the complementary benefits of visual and auditory modalities, thereby reducing ...

Heterodyne range imaging in real-time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A versatile full-field range imaging system has previously been constructed. This system is configurable in software to produce either high precision or fast acquisition range images.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Imaging‐Based Lensless Polarization‐Sensitive Fluid Stream Analyzer for Automated, Label‐Free, and Cost‐Effective Microplastic Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems
The presence of microplastics in the environment is of significant concern, yet the exact extent of this pollution remains largely unknown. The ocean is of particular interest as the monitoring of microplastics presents a challenge in that in situ fluid ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Processing Methods for Digital Image Data Based on the Geographic Information System

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
Digital image data processing is mainly to input digital image data into a computer to complete the conversion of a continuous spatially distributed image model into a discrete digital model so that the computer can identify, process, and store the ...

Digital data processing of images.

open access: yesSouth African medical journal = Suid-Afrikaanse tydskrif vir geneeskunde, 1974
Digital data processing was investigated to perform image processing. Image smoothing and restoration were explored and promising results obtained. The use of the computer, not only as a data management device, but as an important tool to render quantitative information, was illustrated by lung function determination.

Graph Spectral Image Processing

open access: yes, 2018
Recent advent of graph signal processing (GSP) has spurred intensive studies of signals that live naturally on irregular data kernels described by graphs (e.g., social networks, wireless sensor networks).
