Collision measurements using digital image correlation techniques

International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 2017
Abstract In this study, the digital image correlation (DIC) techniques have been used to analyze the motion during the collisions. The spline interpolation along with two dimensional Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) cross correlation has been used in order to increase the accuracy and decrease the computation time of the method respectively.

Digital techniques for laboratory measurements

American Journal of Physics, 1975
The development of measuring equipment in modular form with digital readout is described. This equipment is adapted to the measurement of many physical quantities such as velocity, frequency, temperature, resistance, capacitance, etc. It is easier to use, faster, and more precise than conventional equipment and forms a firm basis for more advanced work.

Digital recording techniques for electrical insulation measurements

IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine, 1989
The problems of measuring the characteristics of transient voltage and current waveforms occurring in high-voltage power systems are discussed, and the analog recorders that have been used in the past are reviewed. The theory of operation of digital recorders is described, and sources of recording errors are examined.

Digital bus faults measuring techniques

Proceedings International Test Conference 1998 (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36270), 2002
This paper describes techniques available today to detect digital bus faults on electronic PCB's using in-circuit testers. The paper will also suggest a new test technique called "CLIPS" developed using a Teradyne Z1890 ICT tester. The CLIPS uses a vector technique in which dynamic pulses are applied to the bus lines at high speed.

Anterior Segment Measurements Using Digital Photography: A Simple Technique

Optometry and Vision Science, 2006
The purpose of this study is to describe a simple method of measuring anterior segment lesions from digital slit lamp images and confirm reliability of the technique.Ten reference photos were taken of a PD ruler, refocusing on the ruler for each photo.

AN AUSCULTATORY TECHNIQUE FOR MEASURING THE DIGITAL BLOOD PRESSURE

Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Physiology, 1958
The digital systolic and diastolic blood pressures in human subjects were estimated by means of an auscultatory technique similar to the clinical auscultatory method of measuring brachial blood pressure. The stethoscope was modified by substituting a digital plethysmograph (into which the finger was sealed) for the usual diaphragm.

Digital speckle displacement measurement by a thresholding technique

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
The digital speckle measurement technique has a wide-range application. This paper proposed a thresholding method, which is different from usual template-matching method, to measure the displacement of speckles. To achieve this, the thresholding method employs a statistical process.

Digital Techniques in High-Voltage Measurements

IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1982
A review of digital techniques and instruments developed and applied to high-voltage measurements is presented. Advantages of digital instruments over their analog homologues are exposed together with some examples of processing of digitized signals recorded in HV laboratories.

Improving measurement techniques for testing digital broadcasting systems

2010 IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference Proceedings, 2010
This paper presents a methodology for efficient measurement of digital broadcasting signals, both with field trials or at the laboratory. The study is focused on measuring the C/N requirement for achieving a threshold BER. A comparison between the traditional techniques and the proposed methodology is analyzed in this work.
