Experimental Demonstrations of Matching Filter-Free Digital Filter Multiplexed SSB OFDM IMDD Transmission Systems

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2021
Matching filter (MF)-free digital filter multiplexed (DFM) single sideband (SSB) OFDM intensity modulation and direct detection (IMDD) dual-channel transmissions of 51.25Gbit/s over 25km SSMFs are experimentally demonstrated. It is shown that both

Digital Extraction Column: Measurement and Modeling Techniques [PDF]

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, 2020
AbstractThe digitization of extraction columns requires a profound knowledge of the present hydrodynamics/mass transport interaction as well as appropriate measurement techniques for the detection of relevant input and target values. In this article, the different techniques for droplet size distribution as well as concentration determination are ...

Early Impact of Childhood Opportunity on Neurocognitive Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neurocognitive impairment is a well‐recognized complication of sickle cell disease (SCD) that begins early in childhood and persists across development. While cerebrovascular injury contributes substantially to risk, neurocognitive deficits are also observed in children without overt or silent cerebral infarctions, suggesting ...

Phase Angle as an Early Functional Biomarker of Cancer‐Related Fatigue in Pediatric Oncology: A Prospective Longitudinal Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pediatric cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in low‐and middle‐income countries. Cancer treatment may impair nutritional status, alter body composition, and exacerbate cancer‐related fatigue (CRF).

Digitally Controlled AC Current Measurement and Protection Techniques

open access: yesMACRo 2015, 2017
Abstract This paper describes a cost effective AC current measurement method that avoids complex AC to DC current measurements by converting an amplified and rectified AC voltage drop across a shunt resistor to a duty cycle of a PWM signal.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
