Research of digital orthophoto map load based on orthophoto information entropy
SPIE Proceedings, 2009At present, with the development of the affection in different layouts and decision-makings of orthophotomap in various fields, the information quantity of digital orthophoto map reflects and decides the affection of decision- makings on deep degrees, and it affects the dependability of analytical result, thereby, to perfect the outputs of digital ...

Generation of Digital Orthophotos from IKONOS Satellite Images
Journal of Surveying Engineering, 2003Due to its high spatial resolution, IKONOS imagery has the highest potential for large-scale topographic mapping of the resource satellites currently available. The orthorectification of IKONOS images thus becomes an important task. Since raw image data would, in general, not be provided by the satellite company, we have developed a method that ...

Automatic extraction of building statistics from digital orthophotos
International Journal of Geographical Information Science, 2000In this paper we discuss uses of image segmentation, feature extraction and Bayesian networks for identifying buildings in digital orthophotos and the utilisation of the results for the automated computation of building statistics. Our work differs from previous attempts in a number of ways. Firstly, image segmentation is accomplished using an adaptive

LiDAR : A review on generating digital true orthophoto
2011 IEEE 7th International Colloquium on Signal Processing and its Applications, 2011Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is a technology that has been used for years with the variety of applications including the production of digital terrain models (DTMs), and high-accuracy mapping. LiDAR offers a very detailed collection of 3-D point clouds of the earth surface which can be used in generating orthophotos.

The Gray Processing of Moon Digital Orthophoto Map
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012Considering the mosaic result of the lunar DOM (Digital Orthophoto Map) produced by China's “CE-1” satellite, there usually exists a sharp gray jump beside the joining line. As to a strip image, the gray distribution may be uneven because of the light changing or position difference during photographing.

Orthophotomaps from digital orthophotos
Photogrammetria, 1985Abstract After explaining the contents of an analog orthophotomap, the production of digital orthophotomaps is described. The process consists of the production of: - map surface (here: digital orthophoto), - map frame, - map lettering (including marginal data), - sheet assembly of the orthophotomap.

Digital image processing for orthophoto generation
Photogrammetria, 1985Abstract Investigationsabout the feasibility of differential rectification using digital image processing techniques are presented. For the special case of producing printed orthophoto maps, a pixel size of 0.167 mm in the orthophoto matrix is sufficiently small for a good visual quality.
