Monolithic dual-gate GaAs FET digital phase shifter
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1982The design, fabrication, and characterization of a fully monolithic FET digital phase-shifter circuit is described. The circuit is designed around a unique dual-gate FET structure Operating as a switchable single-pole, double-throw amplifier. Each 2.5 × 3.0-mm chip has one bit (e.g., 22.5°, 90°, etc.) of phase control.

Optical control of a digital phase shifter
IEEE International Digest on Microwave Symposium, 2002A method for the optical control of digital phase shifters which significantly reduces the number of control lines required is described. The technique uses a simple cost-effective light-emitting diode (LED) source along with a MESFET detector and an A/D converter to generate the digital phase shifter command.

A digital phase shifter for multiple pulse NMR
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1990An eight bit digital phase shifter is described which is suitable for multiple pulse NMR of solids in terms of settling time (≂2 μs) and phase resolution (1.406°). The unit incorporates an 8-bit Merrimac digital phase shifter model PSDW-84-1, and an amplification-damping-pulse shaping circuit to solve the problem of variable attenuation as a function ...

Digitally Controlled RF Phase Shifter
2020 IEEE 15th International Conference on Advanced Trends in Radioelectronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering (TCSET), 2020In this work, the characteristics of known radiofrequency (RF) phase shifter varieties were analyzed, their advantages and disadvantages were identified. Based on the performed analysis, we offer a digitally controlled RF phase shifter, which allows changing the initial phase of the radio frequency oscillation using a computer program.

Ferrite Digital Phase Shifters
G-MTT Symposium Digest, 2005Recent phased array system requirements for fast switching, latching type phase shifters have prompted considerable interest in the non-reciprocal ferrite phase shifter using a toroidal geometry. The use of the toroidal geometry permits the ferrite to he permanently magnetized in the circumferential direction by passing a current pulse through the ...
