Digital Manufacturing Security Indicators

Automatic Control and Computer Sciences, 2018
This paper describes security indicators specific to digital manufacturing. We divided the set of indicators into three groups: self-similarity-based security indicators, sustainability indicators, and indicators characterizing the homeostatic ability of cyberphysical systems that form the basis of digital production.

Secure arrays for digital watermarking

Proceedings. Fourteenth International Conference on Pattern Recognition (Cat. No.98EX170), 2002
This paper introduces two-dimensional arrays for watermarking images. Binary, greyscale and colour (3D) arrays are examined. New constructions known as the "distinct sums" arrays are presented.

Secure and efficient digital coins

Proceedings 13th Annual Computer Security Applications Conference, 2002
Current off-line electronic cash systems require a great number of complex online computations by clients during the payment phase. In this paper, we propose a new off-line anonymous cash scheme that greatly reduces the number of online computations that need to be done by the clients for each payment transaction.

Maritime Cyber Security - Securing the Digital Seaways

Engineering & Technology Reference, 2013
Maritime transport is critical to the global economy. In a competitive environment, the industry is constantly seeking economies of scale and efficiencies. This has led to the introduction of larger vessels and an increasing use of information technology to achieve greater automation, both in ports and at sea.

Digital Marketplace Security Requirements

2005 IEEE 61st Vehicular Technology Conference, 2005
Future generations of mobile systems requires novel call management strategies. The digital marketplace uses a market approach to manage network services, in which operators bid to provide connectivity to users. To operate successfully, the digital marketplace protocols must be designed securely.

Secure Digital Chains of Evidence

2011 Sixth IEEE International Workshop on Systematic Approaches to Digital Forensic Engineering, 2011
Computers, mobile phones, embedded devices and other components of IT systems can often be easily manipulated. Therefore, in forensic use of digital evidence it is necessary to carefully check that the probative force of the evidence is sufficient. For applications where critical processes can lead to disputes and resolving disputed relies on digital ...

Privacy and security in the Digital Age

ISTAS 98. Wiring the World: The Impact of Information Technology on Society. Proceedings of the 1998 International Symposium on Technology and Society (Cat. No.98CH36152), 2002
A serious problem of security has developed because of the popularity in the use of the Internet for all kinds of communications by both individuals and companies. This potential security issue has forced many to evaluate the need for even connecting to the Internet.

Digital watermarking security considerations

Proceedings of the 8th workshop on Multimedia and security, 2006
In this paper, we review our past experience with security of copy control audio watermarks, particularly related to SDMI. We also classify and analyze attacks published in literature and propose a number of security enhancement techniques for copy control and other digital watermarking applications.

The secure distribution of digital contents

Proceedings 13th Annual Computer Security Applications Conference, 2002
A report is given on the development of a system for the distribution of encrypted digital contents via freely accessible distribution media. To be able to use this information, the key needed for decryption has to be ordered from a key management system. The distribution of the keys required for decryption is restricted whereas the distribution of the

On Composable Security for Digital Signatures

2018
A digital signature scheme (DSS), which consists of a key-generation, a signing, and a verification algorithm, is an invaluable tool in cryptography. The first and still most widely used security definition for a DSS, existential unforgeability under chosen-message attack, was introduced by Goldwasser, Micali, and Rivest in 1988.
