Pattern Recognition Letters, 2009The aim of this paper is to establish a new mathematical model for digital spaces. We introduce the concept of weak inclusion. We will show that every digital space can be considered as a space endowed with a weak inclusion. This structure generates a pretopology which is compatible with the classical concept of connectedness for a digital space.
