Digital speckle pattern shearing interferometry using diffraction gratings

Optics Communications, 1996
A digital speckle pattern shearing interferometer with the aid of a diffraction grating as shearing element, is presented. A brief theoretical approach for qualitative purposes is outlined. A comparison with Michelson shearing and phase stepping measurements are presented to show the validity of the proposal. Real time visualization, compactness of the

Looseness inspection of fasteners based on digital shearing speckle pattern interferometry and convolutional neural network

Optical Engineering: The Journal of SPIE
. The fastener plays a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of modern engineering structures. However, factors such as vibration, shock, temperature changes, and others can cause fasteners to become loose, thereby compromising the stability

Digital speckle pattern shearing interferometry: limitations and prospects

Applied Optics, 1991
Since shearing interferometry, also called shearography, does not depict fringes caused by object tilt, it is a tool well suited for either nondestructive testing of objects under load or for quantitative evaluation of flexural strains. In traditional shearing interferometry, observation of fringes requires optical processing of doubleexposed ...

Quantitative detection of internal defects based on morphological opening, filling and binarizing operations on wrapped phase of out-of-plane deformation in digital speckle pattern interferometry

NDT & E international, 2019
A novel method used for quantitative detection of internal defects with boundary of arbitrary shape is proposed in this paper for the first time.

Digital speckle-pattern interferometry: fringe retrieval for large in-plane deformations with digital speckle photography

Applied Optics, 1999
The compensation of large in-plane motions in digital speckle-pattern interferometry (DSPI) with the use of digital speckle photography (DSP) is demonstrated. Ordinary recordings of DSPI are recombined and analyzed with DSP. The DSP result is used to compensate for the bulk speckle motion prior to calculation of the phase map.

Electronic speckle pattern interferometry and digital holographic interferometry with microbolometer arrays at 106 μm

Applied Optics, 2010
Electronic speckle pattern interferometry and digital holographic interferometry are investigated at long infrared wavelengths. Using such wavelengths allows one to extend the measurement range and decrease the sensitivity of the techniques to external perturbations.

Precise measurement of large roll angle using digital speckle pattern interferometry

International Symposium on Precision Engineering Measurement and Instrumentation, 2019
Recently, a non-cooperative method of roll angle measurement using digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) is introduced. Mechanism was deduced and the mathematic model of roll angle measurement was established.

Measurement of temperature and temperature profile of wick stabilized micro diffusion flame under the effect of magnetic field using digital speckle pattern interferometry

, 2017
. The effect of upward decreasing, uniform, and upward increasing magnetic fields on the temperature and temperature profile of a wick stabilized micro diffusion flame is investigated experimentally by using digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI).

Deformation measurements in cortical bone-miniscrew interface in human maxilla by using digital speckle pattern interferometry

Speckle: International Conference on Speckle Metrology, 2018
An application of digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) is demonstrated for the measurement of out-of-plane and in-plane deformations in the cortical bone of human maxilla at the bone-miniscrew implant interface.
