This study developed and validated the novel AHOC score, a simple pre‐thrombectomy tool for predicting stroke etiology (embolism vs. intracranial atherosclerosis) in acute middle cerebral artery occlusion. This score integrates four key clinical/imaging variables—atrial fibrillation, hyperdense artery sign, stenosis/occlusion in other arteries, and ...

Accuracy of Length of Virtual Stents in Treatment of Intracranial Wide-Necked Aneurysms. [PDF]
Background and purposePrecise stent deployment is important for successful treatment of intracranial aneurysms by stent-assisted coiling (SAC). We evaluated the accuracy of virtual stents generated using commercial stent planning software by comparing ...

ABSTRACT Background Three‐dimensional vessel wall imaging (VWI) using 3T MRI enables detailed assessment of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (ICAS), but the optimal reference tissue and its clinical utility remain unclear. This study aimed to identify the most suitable reference tissue for contrast‐enhanced (CE) VWI and to clarify imaging ...

A Case of Comprehensive Interventional Therapy for Bronchial Thromboembolism Caused by Hemoptysis
We report the case of a patient with massive hemoptysis from dual bronchial artery malformations that necessitated emergent embolization. Extensive jelly‐like endobronchial clots caused complete lobar collapse refractory to suction. We used cryoextraction to achieve rapid, en‐bloc removal of arborizing casts with prompt radiographic resolution ...

Volumetric analysis of arteriovenous malformation using computed tomographic angiography [PDF]
Thesis (M.A.)--Boston UniversityAn arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an abnormal collection of blood vessels in which arterial blood flows directly into the draining vein without the normal interposed capillaries.

The AI algorithm had good diagnostic accuracy in predicting the risk of IAs rupture based on CTA and DSA data. The multimodal feature integration and temporal improvements highlight the great potential of AI in clinical decision making. It will advance the field of IA rupture risk prediction, which will help guide future studies.

CT angiography, MR angiography and rotational digital subtraction angiography for volumetric assessment of intracranial aneurysms. An experimental study [PDF]
The purpose of our experimental study was to assess the accuracy and precision of CT angiography (CTA), MR angiography (MRA) and rotational digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for measuring the volume of an in vitro aneurysm model. A rigid model of the
