Remarks on fixed point assertions in digital topology, 4
We continue the work of [4, 2, 3], in which we discuss published assertions that are incorrect or incorrectly proven; that are severely limited or reduce to triviality; or that we improve upon.

Topological Digital Topology [PDF]
The usefulness of topology in science and mathematics means that topological spaces must be studied, and computers should be used in this study. We discuss how many useful spaces (including all compact Hausdorff spaces) can be approximated by finite spaces, and these finite spaces are completely determined by their specialization orders.

An attribute-based image segmentation method
This work addresses a new image segmentation method founded on Digital Topology and Mathematical Morphology grounds. The ABA (attribute based absorptions) transform can be viewed as a region-growing method by flooding simulation working at the scale of ...

Improved Topological Approximations by Digitization [PDF]
Čech complexes are useful simplicial complexes for computing and analyzing topological features of data that lies in Euclidean space. Unfortunately, computing these complexes becomes prohibitively expensive for large-sized data sets even for medium-to-low dimensional data.

Topological relationships among parts of a digital picture, such as connectedness and surroundedness, play an important role in picture analysis and description. This paper generalizes these concepts to fuzzy subsets, and develops some of their basic properties.

An alternative digital topology
Abstract We define a new topology on Z2 with respect to which, in difference to the commonly used Khalimsky topology, the curves fulfilling an analogy of the Jordan curve theorem can turn at the acute angle π/4. We also present a natural graph on Z2 all circuits in which fulfill the analogy of the Jordan curve theorem with respect to the topology ...

Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.
