Fixed poin sets in digital topology, 1
In this paper, we examine some properties of the fixed point set of a digitally continuous function. The digital setting requires new methods that are not analogous to those of classical topological fixed point theory, and we obtain results that often ...

Education as the Main Entry Point in a Digitally Transformed Future of Work [PDF]
In the upcoming future of work, due to the digital transformation of organisations, humans must learn to work alongside artificial intelligent systems and thus the working environment and society will evolve towards augmented intelligence and hybrid ...

Continuous‐time digital filtering analogue‐to‐digital converter
Despite their alias‐free operation, continuous time ADCs can have their power consumption overwhelmed when presented out‐of‐band, high frequency, high amplitude signals. A new continuous time ADC architecture which, thanks to its embedded low‐pass filter transfer function is proposed, enables a power efficient quantisation in the presence of such ...

High performance Italian continuous "digit" recognition [PDF]
The development of a speaker independent connected "digits" recognizer for Italian is described. The CSLU Speech Toolkit was used to develop and implement the system which is based on an hybrid ANN/HMM architecture. The recognizer is trained on contextdependent categories to account for coarticulatory variation.

We propose a very fast heterodyne technique to recover the amplitude and phase of short optical pulses generated, e.g., by a mode-locked laser. A linearly swept frequency source is used to scan the entire optical spectrum of the mode-locked laser in a ...
