AN ECOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE WEED FLORA IN THE MAJOR ROOT CROP AREAS IN THE PHILIPPINES

open access: yesAnnals of Tropical Research, 1981
Different root crop-growing areas in the Philippines were surveyed during the wet season to determine the weed species associated with different root and tuber crops, namely, sweet potato, cassava, yam and white potato.

The nucleotide sequence of a geminivirus from Digitaria sanguinalis

Virology, 1987
The encapsidated single-stranded circular DNA of a geminivirus isolated from Digitaria sanguinalis has been sequenced. The data obtained are consistent with there being one DNA circle of 2701 nucleotides. Comparison of the nucleotide sequence with those of maize streak virus (MSV) and wheat dwarf virus showed 64 and 47% DNA homology, respectively.

Interference of large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis) with snap beans

Weed Science, 2003
Abstract Field experiments were conducted to determine the effect of large crabgrass densities of 0.5 to 8 plants m−1 of row and emergence time on snap bean yield. Large crabgrass was planted either along with snap beans (early) or when the first trifoliate leaf of snap beans was opening (late).

Target-site mutation and enhanced metabolism endow resistance to nicosulfuron in a Digitaria sanguinalis population

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2023
Digitaria sanguinalis is a competitive and annual grass weed that commonly infests crops across the world. In recent years, the control of D. sanguinalis by nicosulfuron has declined in Hebei Province, China. To determine the resistance mechanisms of D. sanguinalis to nicosulfuron, a population of D.

Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis) Allelochemicals That Interfere with Crop Growth and the Soil Microbial Community

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2013
Three chemicals, veratric acid, maltol, and (−)-loliolide, were isolated from crabgrass and their structures were identified by spectroscopic analysis. The chemicals were detected in crabgrass root exudates and rhizosphere soils, and their concentrations ranged from 0.16 to 8.10 μg/g.

Importancia de la autopolinización en Digitaria sanguinalis

2017
