Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Digital Collections and Digital Collecting Practices [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 33rd Annual ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2015
Reference is increasingly made to ‘digital collections’, yet this term encompasses accumulated digital objects of varying form, purpose and value. We review social science literature on mate-rial collections and draw from in-depth interviews with 20 peo-ple in the UK in order to offer a clearer understanding of what constitutes a digital collection and

From Photoalignment to Structured Light: Liquid Crystal Platforms for Beam Shaping and Complex Wavefronts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photoaligned and photopatterned liquid crystal platforms provide programmable control of optical phase, polarization, and spin‐orbit interactions, enabling compact generation of structured light and complex wavefronts. This review highlights how tailored molecular orientations transform simple beams into designed optical fields, opening versatile ...

A biological sequence comparison algorithm using quantum computers

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Genetic information is encoded as linear sequences of nucleotides, represented by letters ranging from thousands to billions. Differences between sequences are identified through comparative approaches like sequence analysis, where variations can occur ...

Tissue‐Adhesive Fabric‐Based Bioelectronics for Wearable and Implantable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An implantable and wearable bioelectronic textile (iTextile) is introduced as a unified platform bridging wearable and implantable systems. By integrating a self‐healing polymer, stretchable silk fabric, conductive composite electrodes, and an adhesive hydrogel, the platform enables conformal, stable interfacing with soft tissues. The iTextile supports

Charge Generation and Recombination Pathways in All‐Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multimodal spectroscopy and device analysis reveal how field‐dependent charge generation, transport limitations, and non‐geminate recombination govern performance losses in all polymer solar cells. The results identify the key processes controlling charge extraction and recombination, providing insights for the design of more efficient all‐polymer ...

The Digital as Digitality

open access: yes
Abstract When discussing the Middle East’s digital turn, it is essential to recognize inherent disjunctures between the predigital and the digital: between “old” media that clings to print publications, radio stations, and satellite television and “new” media that embraces and promotes the use of software, portals, social media, and ...

Digital Transformation and Digital Leadership [PDF]

open access: yesHealthcare Informatics Research, 2019
Healthcare does not transform itself; it is transformed by us. The people coming to the Biomedical Informatics society are those who wish to make changes. In my opinion, this is what digital leadership is. Through this article, I will share what is happening in the world around us in terms of Biomedical Informatics.
