Dual‐Antenna Trimetallic Lanthanide Complexes for Enhanced Near‐Infrared Luminescence

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
Dual‐antenna trimetallic lanthanide complexes, [(L‐Zn)2‐Ln], exhibit enhanced near‐infrared luminescence through improved energy transfer from two Zn‐ligand antenna units. Compared to bimetallic analogues, these complexes show reduced non‐radiative losses and superior NIR emission.

Alkoxy‐Substituted Anthrabis(Thiadiazole)‐Terthiophene Copolymers for Organic Photovoltaics: A Unique Wavy Backbone Enhances Aggregation, Molecular Order, and Device Efficiency

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
By incorporating a lower‐symmetry terthiophene donor unit in place of quaterthiophene, the resulting ATz‐based polymer donors exhibit reduced aggregation, improved solubility, and a favorable shift in molecular orientation from edge‐on to face‐on. As a result, solar cells based on the PATz3T‐o6HD:Y12 system demonstrated a remarkable improvement in PCE,

Near‐Infrared‐II Absorbing Doubly N‐Confused Dioxo‐Heptaphyrins as Robust Photothermal Conversion Agents

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
A new family of meso‐aryl‐substituted heptaphyrin analogs (1 and 1‐O2) containing two cisoid‐configured pyrrole units was successfully synthesized and characterized. The dioxo‐heptaphyrin 1‐O2 exhibits a figure‐of‐eight twisted structure, facilitating site‐selective metal coordination, which contributes to efficient photothermal conversion and ...

A Long Cycle‐Life and Recyclable Anthraquinone Oligomer Connected via Amide Bonds for Use in Rechargeable Organic Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
This study presents the synthesis of an anthraquinone oligomer linked by amide bonds that demonstrate a long cycle battery performance. Oligomers connected by amide bonds undergo hydrolysis, rendering them easily biodegradable. The concept provides a guideline for a future material design of sustainable batteries. With the increasing demand for energy,

A lipid droplet‐selective fluorescent probe for real‐time imaging and polarity sensing

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
In this study, we present a fluorescent probe 1 with lipid droplets‐targeting and solvent‐dependent emission properties. Its photophysical behavior and selectivity were analyzed using density functional theory (DFT), time‐dependent DFT, and confocal laser scanning microscopy.
