Engineered Nile Red Derivatives‐Mediated Efficient Phototherapy Against Drug‐Resistant Bacteria and Monkeypox Virus

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
TPAOMCN exhibits optimal reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and photothermal conversion properties. TPAOMCN nanofibers (NFs)‐mediated photodynamic (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT) achieved efficient eradication against multidrug‐resistant bacteria and viruses, alleviating inflammation response, promoting wound healing, and providing a ...

Engineered Integration of Diverse Functional Units Induces Multifunctionality in Malonate‐Borate Hybrids

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Herein, we present a new crystal system by aggregating multifunctional malonate and boro‐oxygen units, which maintains short UV cutoff edges while exhibiting distinct functionalities, including large birefringence, strong SHG responses, and substantial ionic conductivity.

On‐Surface Synthesis and Characterization of Cumulene‐Linked Stone‐Wales Polymers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
On‐surface synthesis of one‐dimensional polymers featuring Stone‐Wales defects and cumulene linkages is demonstrated via thermally and light‐induced reactions on Au(111). STM, nc‐AFM, and Raman spectroscopy, complemented by theory calculations, reveal their chemical structure with a non‐planar geometry, and a distinct electronic bandgap of 1.8 eV ...

Covalent Bond Regulation in Nanographene: En Route to Precise Aggregation State Modification

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Regulation of nanographene from covalent bond to control the aggregation state of nanographene precisely was achieved by protonic acid or Lewis acid. The fused azulene unit(s) at the margin of molecules played an important role for the unique chemical activity and physical features. Furthermore, quencher and reaction temperature would lead to selective

Hinge‐Like Mechanochromic Mechanophores Based on [2.2]Paracyclophane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Hinge‐like supramolecular mechanophores utilizing [2.2]paracyclophane have been developed. In the force‐free state, the rigid [2.2]paracyclophane forces two luminophores into proximity, leading to excimer‐dominant photoluminescence. Stretching the polyurethane films into which the mechanophores are covalently incorporated results in the structures of ...

Toward Narrow‐Band, Stable Blue MR‐TADF Emission via Combined Heterocyclic Analogues Marching B.T.2020

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A robust molecular design strategy for MR‐TADF emitters via heterocyclic carbazole integration to strengthen weak C─N bonds was proposed. Blue MR‐TADF emitters m‐Cz‐DABNA and tBu‐Cz‐DABNA have achieved ultra‐narrow FWHMs (24/21 nm), high PLQYs (88%/95%), and record‐high EQEs (23%/26%).
