Mammalian Proteome Profiling Reveals Readers and Antireaders of Strand‐Symmetric and ‐Asymmetric 5‐Hydroxymethylcytosine‐Modifications in DNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The cytosine (C) modifications 5‐methylcytosine (mC) and 5‐hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC) are central regulatory elements of mammalian genomes. Both marks occur in double‐stranded DNA in either strand‐symmetric or ‐asymmetric fashion, but it is still poorly understood how this symmetry information is selectively read out by the nuclear proteome ...

3-Chloro-N-(3-chlorophenyl)benzamide

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
In the crystal structure of the title compound, C13H9Cl2NO, the N—H and C=O bonds are anti to each other in the two independent molecules. In one molecule, the N—H bond is syn to the meta-chloro group of the attached ring; it is anti in the ...

A stereoscopic method for dihedral angle measurement [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science, 2005
A new method is presented for the measurement of equilibrium dihedral angles in intergranular inclusions, and illustrated with pure copper containing 1 wt% lead. The method is based on the selective dissolution of inclusions visible along a polished metallographic section.

Alkaline Phosphatase‐Activated NIR‐II AIEgens Nanosystem for Surgical and Postoperative Closed‐Loop Therapy of Advanced Osteosarcoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study designed a tumor microenvironment‐responsive AIEgen nanoparticle for near‐infrared photoimmunotherapy, which inhibits primary tumors and metastasis by promoting pyroptosis and suppressing aerobic glycolysis. ABSTRACT In advanced osteosarcoma, tumor invasion often prevents complete resection, and immunotherapy is limited by the tumor's ...

PHI-DAC: protein homology database through dihedral angle conservation [PDF]

open access: yesBioinformatics, 2014
Abstract Finding related conformations in the Protein Data Bank is essential in many areas of bioscience. To assist this task, we designed a dihedral angle database for searching protein segment homologs. The search engine relies on encoding of the protein coordinates into text characters representing amino acid sequence, φ and ψ ...
