Unaltered maximal power and submaximal performance correlates with an oxidative vastus lateralis proteome phenotype during tapering in male cyclists. [PDF]
Abstract Little is known on how a short‐term reduction of training volume changes muscle proteome and physiological parameters. We investigated the impact of halving training volume during regular training of cyclists on physiological parameters in relation to vastus lateralis protein profiles and fiber percentage ratios. Fifteen male cyclists (age: 30.

Transcriptome-Wide Association Analysis of Flavonoid Biosynthesis Genes and Their Correlation With Leaf Phenotypes in Hawk Tea (Litsea coreana var. sinensis). [PDF]
A total of 84 significant SNPs related to flavonoid content were identified through transcriptome‐wide association analysis, and 13 SNPs located within gene regions were identified as structural genes primarily implicated in metabolic processes and the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. ABSTRACT Hawk tea (Litsea coreana var. sinensis), derived from

Interventional‐ and amputation‐stage muscle proteomes in the chronically threatened ischemic limb
Proteomic analyses of CLTI muscle specimens identify a distinct limb muscle proteome signature characterized by a severe mitochondriopathy in amputation‐stage specimens, which was discovered to differ from non‐PAD controls and CLTI pre‐surgical intervention limb muscles.

Summary High‐throughput phenotyping is increasingly becoming an important tool for rapid advancement of genetic gain in breeding programmes. Manual phenotyping of vascular bundles is tedious and time‐consuming, which lags behind the rapid development of functional genomics in maize.

Shewanella putrefaciens is a specific spoilage bacterium for fish during cold storage. To better understand the molecular mechanisms of cold stress adaptation of S. putrefaciens, tandem mass tag‐ (TMT‐) based quantitative proteomic analysis was performed to detect the effects of cold stress on protein expression profiles in S.

Brain spheroids or organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) are still not capable of completely recapitulating in vivo human brain tissue, and one of the limitations is lack of microglia. To add built‐in immune function, coculture of the dorsal forebrain spheroids with isogenic microglia‐like cells (D‐MG) was performed in our study.

Adipose‐derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSC‐ATs) are representative cell sources for cell therapy. However, how cell stress resulting from passage influences the MSC‐AT protein expression has been unclear. In this study, a protein expression analysis was performed by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐MS/MS) using mouse primary ...

Abstract A high‐fat diet (HFD) has been associated with heart failure and arrhythmias; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying these associations are poorly understood. The mitochondria play an essential role in optimal heart performance, most of the energy for which is obtained from the oxidation of fatty acids.
